Costa de la Luz (the Coast of Light) is the Atlantic coastline in the south west corner of Spain in the region of Andalucia. Costa de la Luz extends from Tarifa in the south to the Portuguese border in the north west. The golf courses we recommend are located in the central section of Costa de la Luz. The area is rich in history and culture, some of Spain’s leading cities are in this region, for example: Seville - famous for flamenco; Jerez the ancient sherry town that is home to the Royal School of Equestrian Art; Huelva has historical links with England and the port of Cadiz, reputed to be one of Europe’s oldest cities. Our golf tours are based in El Puerto de Santa Maria, located on the Bay of Cadiz the town specialises in seafood and has many lively taverns, tapas bars and good quality restaurants to enjoy. |

Costa de la Luz has long white sandy beaches that are popular with surfers and sailing enthusiasts who enjoy the robust Atlantic waves and cooling breezes. This part of Spain has not witnessed the high-rise development of other areas and remains one of the totally unspoilt parts of Spanish coastline. The climate is ideal for golf, with low humidity and more than 3.000 hours of sunshine per year the average yearly temperature is around 18°C. |
